Atomik Training

Using Atomik effectively requires understanding the openEHR standard it is built on, and knowing how to operate the platform day to day. Our training programs cover both: foundational openEHR knowledge and hands-on Atomik administration.

Training Programs

Three programs covering the knowledge you need to work with Atomik — from openEHR fundamentals to daily platform administration.

Foundations

openEHR Foundations

Before working with Atomik, your team needs to understand how openEHR structures clinical data. This is the conceptual layer that makes everything else in Atomik understandable.

The course covers archetypes, operational templates, compositions, the EHR model, and AQL from first principles. We use worked examples from real clinical domains — vital signs, medication records, lab results — so the concepts connect to something concrete.

Advanced

openEHR Master Class

For teams that already have a grounding in openEHR and want to go deeper — advanced data modeling, complex template design, AQL query patterns, and real-world implementation challenges.

Builds directly on the Foundations course. Recommended for clinical data modelers and architects taking on complex implementations.

Administration

Atomik Administration Training

Hands-on training for the team that will run Atomik day to day. Covers everything needed to manage a live Atomik instance — without needing to involve developers for routine operations.

Sessions are practical and focused on the Web Console and administration APIs. We work through your actual setup where possible.

What the program covers:
  • Configuring and uploading openEHR operational templates
  • Managing stored queries with the visual query editor
  • User and organization management
  • EHR creation and patient record management
  • Identifying and resolving duplicate patient records
  • Audit log review and reporting

Who Should Attend

Clinical data modelers

Teams responsible for defining what clinical data gets collected. They work with openEHR archetypes and templates to build the data models that Atomik stores. The openEHR courses are the foundation; the administration training covers template management in Atomik.

Platform administrators

Technical staff who manage the Atomik instance — user accounts, organizations, EHR records, queries, and audit reviews. The administration training is designed for this role specifically.

Architects and technical leads

Those designing the clinical data layer or evaluating Atomik for a project. The openEHR Foundations course is the fastest path to understanding what you are working with.

Training Format

All programs are delivered as instructor-led online sessions. The Atomik Administration Training is tailored to your team's setup — we use your actual Atomik instance, your templates, and your configuration as the working context. Contact us to discuss scheduling, group size, and format.
